Kingsway Mall: If you want to shop, eat or be entertained, head across the street to Kingsway mall. There’s tons of stores to browse, restaurants and a food court, along with art and entertainment. 1 Kingsway NW, 5 minute walk

Plaza Bowling Co: Plaza Bowling Co. is a 5-pin bowling alley with vintage vibes. They serve local craft beer and small bites, like nachos and grilled cheese sammies. 10418-118 Avenue, 5 minute walk

Chicken for You: Looking for a snack? Chicken for You is a Korean Fried Chicken shop located within walking distance of NAIT. Fuel up for your next set of panels with their authentic flavours. 10406 118 Ave NW, 5 minute walk 

Around the hotel

The Coast Edmonton Plaza Hotel is surrounded by tons of Edmonton’s best dining and entertainment. From coffee to chicken, here’s a few suggestions on what to check out: 

Campio Brewing: Edmonton is home to many craft breweries like Campio Brewing Co. Not a beer person? Check out their delicious menu with favourites like Detroit Deep Dish style pizzas or the Quarter Pound Cookie for desert. 10257 105 St NW, 3 minute walk 

Coffee Bureau: Get your early morning pick-me-up at one of Edmonton’s many local coffee shops. Along with tasty treats, Coffee Bureau also sells Montreal Style bagels! 10505 Jasper Avenue, 2 minute walk

Audrey’s Books: Need something to read for the flight back home? Check out Audrey’s Books, Edmonton’s oldest indie bookstores. Featuring two floors of literary delights, Audrey’s has plenty of treasures to discover. 10702 Jasper Avenue, 6 minute walk

from the airport

There’s a few different ways to get from the Airport, located about 30km south of downtown Edmonton, to the hotel. 

Uber/Taxi: Taxis offer a flat-rate of $60 to get to downtown. You can also book an Uber up to 30 days in advance. 

Public Transportation: Take the Edmonton Transit Route 747 to Century Park LRT Station. It costs approximately $10. At Century Park station, hop on the LRT downtown. Bay Enterprise Square and Corona station are both very close to the hotel. From either station, walk along Jasper Avenue to 105 street. Turn north on 105 street towards 102 avenue. The hotel will be about halfway down the street at 10155 105 street. 

Driving: It will take you about 35 minutes to drive from the aiport to downtown Edmonton. If you are looking to rent a car, head to level P1 of the airport parkade. Get directions here.
