Who can attend the conference?

If you have a passion for student journalism, you are welcome to attend NASH 86. There’s no need to be a current student or in a journalism program. If your publication is a member of the Canadian University Press, you’ll receive a discount on tickets for your members.

Where is the conference located?

The conference will take place at the Northern Alberta Institute of Technology (NAIT)’s main campus, located 11762 106 street. There will be shuttles to and from NAIT each day at the conference hotel, Coast Edmonton Plaza. 

What does my ticket cover?

Tickets to NASH 86 gives you the full conferenece experience: all the sessions and panels, meals each day, the networking reception on Saturday and the JHM Awards Gala on Saturday night. We’ll also have transportation available to and from the hotel each day. 

CUP members receive a 20% discount on NASH tickets. There will be an early bird sale from November 15 to December 15, and after that ticket prices will go up. Discounts will also be available for group purchases of 3+ tickets.

Where can I stay?

There are many hotels located close to NAIT, but you’ll receive a discounted rate if you stay at the conference hotel, the Coast Edmonton Plaza, located in downtown Edmonton. Check out the Getting Here page for more information and the discount link.
